A native of Fairfax, Virginia, bassist Evan Cannon began his musical studies at the age of eight. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music where he was a scholarship student under Jeremy McCoy. Since then, Evan has had the opportunity to work with conductors such as Emile De Cou, Rodrick Cox, David Morrow, Elizabeth Shultz, Luis Haza and Philippe Entremont.

He has performed multiple times on stage with the National Symphony Orchestra. He has also participated in Master Classes with notable bassists Ira Gold, Duncan McTier, Robert Oppelt, and Donovan Stokes.

In addition to being a freelance musician in New York, Mr. Cannon is currently a member of the Litha Symphony Orchestra and the Richmond County Symphony and has also performed in numerous musicals, including most recently the Art House performance of “The Music Man.”
